MARC Codes

A MARC Code refers to a Machine Readable Cataloguing Code. Papyrus is based on SAMARC, which is the South African standard used for bibliographic data transfer. However, it us also cross refenced to the USMARC standard which makes it completely interchangeable. Print out a list of the MARC codes to familiarise yourself with them

This list should not be changed unless you are very familiar with the MARC system
